These are the UK Specialty Training application form questions used on Oriel for applications to ST1, CT1, ST3 and ST4 specialty training posts. These are the application form questions used for posts advertised in November 2023 with a start date from August 2024. Dental Specialty posts are usually advertised in January with a start date in September.
1. Overseas test centre request
If you are working/living overseas and are successful in being invited to attend the assessment centre (online tests) would you prefer a test centre place at an overseas venue? (Yes/No)
2. First Choice Preference
Please indicate your first choice preference from the list below. This information will not be used at the offers stage but is used to inform initial competition ratios. If you are successful in being invited to attend the selection centre, you will have an opportunity later in the process, to specify your preferences in rank order from all available posts on offer for August 2023 [sic – should say August 2024].

3. Monitoring
Part of Public Health’s work and mission is to address inequalities of opportunity. This extends to our future workforce. We invite you to answer two optional questions that are being used by the national Public Health Recruitment Executive Group to reduce the risk of unconscious or indirect bias.
