These are the UK Specialty Training application form questions used on Oriel for applications to ST1, CT1, ST3 and ST4 specialty training posts.

The questions are presented here to help you prepare for your future applications. Please be aware application form structures, questions, word counts, etc. can change and there is no guarantee that future application forms will remain the same.

The following questions are asked on the Oriel application form for ACFST1 posts. Please note that not all the questions presented here will be on every ACF application form and the word count limits may vary from post to post. ACF posts are advertised as individual posts across many different specialties and regions therefore there can be variation in the application form. Different regions or specialties may choose to omit some questions, change the format of questions, answer options, word limits, etc.

If you are applying for ACFST1 (Or indeed an ACF at any level in a different specialty to your current training role) you also need to go through the ‘Clinical Benchmarking’ process and apply for (and be deemed appointable in) the clinical training programme for the specialty of your ACF. You must pass both the ACF and Clinical Benchmarking to be appointed to an ACF post. If you are applying for an ACF in a specialty you already have a NTN in then you should not need to pass Clinical Benchmarking again.

1. Additional Undergraduate Degrees and Qualifications

Please list any additional completed undergraduate qualifications with dates. Include intercalated BSc/ equivalent degree here, if you have one. Do not include details of your pre university school education/ exam results.

Please include here any relevant qualifications listed as desirable on the person specification.

An ACF post comes fully funded from NIHR for 3 years and is not transferable to another doctor after the post has commenced. The specialty is also not transferable.
