We are expecting a high level of interest in Occupational Medicine ST3 which means that it is likely that a sufficient number of appointable applicants will remain at the end of the Round 2 recruitment process. Posts with a later start date will be offered to those applicants and any remaining posts may be filled within the same recruitment round. As a result, we may not advertise again later in the recruitment year.

Occupational Medicine is an applied branch of medicine combining clinical practice with public health and organisational health and management. There are a variety of occupational sectors which offers exciting opportunities to work in real life settings and to make a difference to the lives of the working age population. A varied career with movement across sectors is common, providing excellent experience and ongoing interest.

This is for completion of CCT subject to satisfactory progression.

All applicants applying to medical specialties are required to have essential competences, or equivalent. depending on the level to which they are applying. For applicants needing to complete an Occupational Medicine Certificate of Completion of Common Professional Capabilities (CCCPC), this can downloaded from the “Files” page of this advert.

Please upload all required evidence of competences to your online application form when completing the application form online. For those experiencing difficulties when uploading evidence, please ensure you contact the London Recruitment team.

Please note that there is a strict application policy that applications cannot be accepted after the deadline. The training programme is equally open to those who may, either from the outset or subsequently, wish to train flexibly or job share.

You will be required to complete a self-assessment as part of your Oriel application.

After the application window closes, you will be required to upload supporting evidence to justify the self-assessment achievements you claim on your application form. If you do not upload your supporting evidence, your application may not be considered for verification and will be withdrawn. Please note, there is no action required to upload any evidence to justify your self-assessment achievements at this stage as this will be requested after the application window closes.

All medical practitioners are on the shortage occupation list, so all specialty recruitment applicants will be exempt from the resident labour market test.

Interview venue: Online - Please ensure you have access to a computer with a microphone and camera. Further instructions will be supplied should you be invited to interview.

Posts commence from: August 2026 – applicants are able to negotiate their start date with their employers.
