National Emergency Medicine ST3 ACCS Emergency Medicine Recruitment

Coordinated by NHS England North East & Yorkshire. All interviews will be held online on the Qpercom VIDs system.

Please note:  This application is for ST3 ACCS Emergency Medicine route only.

If you are not eligible for ST3 ACCS Emergency Medicine you will need to apply to the ST3 DRE-EM vacancy on Oriel.   Applications cannot be transferred in between vacancies so please ensure you are submitting the correct application.

Application process

NHS England North East & Yorkshire is co-ordinating national recruitment for vacancies in ST3 ACCS Emergency Medicine across England, Scotland and Wales in 2024 (including LAT posts in Scotland and Wales)

Applications open at 10am on 16th November 2023 and close on 7th December 2023 at 4pm.

All applications must be submitted by the closing date using the Oriel recruitment system.

Please upload all required evidence of competences to your online application form when completing the application form online. Self-Assessment Verification process

Applicants will have a specified and strict seven day window to upload the evidence to back up their self-assessment score from their application.

Interview process

All interviews will be held online using the Qpercom VIDs system on the 5th or 6th March 2024

It is a candidate’s responsibility to ensure that they have access to equipment that is compatible with the platform, a strong Wi-Fi connection and have a contingency plan in place in case the original device or connection fails.

Post information

Preferencing will be made available on Oriel at a later date, which may be after the interviews have taken place. We strongly advise that candidates review the information from MDRS regarding “selecting preferences” on the following page: Specialty Training website .  

The Postgraduate Dean confirms that this placement and / or programme has the required educational and Dean’s approval. The Training Programme is equally open to those who may, either from the outset or subsequently, wish to train less than full time or job share.

Pay scales     

All trainees should be paid monthly at the rates set out in the national terms and conditions of service for hospital medical and dental staff and doctors in public health medicine and the community health service (England and Wales), “the TCS”, as amended from time to time. The pay scales are reviewed annually. Part-time posts will be paid pro-rata.
