The information is from specialty training posts advertised in November-December 2023, with a start date from August 2024. Please be aware specialty training advertisements, links, recruitment leads, post numbers, etc. can change and there is no guarantee that future advertisements and application processes will remain the same.
For each specialty there is an archive of the latest specialty training job advert, links, any recruitment documents included within the advert, and information on competition ratios and fill rates.
Specialties recruiting at ST3/ST4 Higher Specialty Training level:
Specialties recruiting at CT1/ST1 level:
Some specialties may be listed as also available in Northern Ireland or Wales. This indicates that there is a separate advertisement and recruitment process for those posts in Northern Ireland, Wales and for posts in the rest of the UK. You would need to apply for each vacancy separately if you wanted to be considered for all posts in that specialty across the whole of the UK.
Forensic Histopathology ST3, Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery ST1 and Broad Based Training CT1 are currently only available in Scotland and are not currently available in the rest of the UK.
