NHS England – North East & Yorkshire is co-ordinating national recruitment for vacancies in ST4 Emergency Medicine across England, Scotland and Wales (including LAT posts in Scotland and Wales). Before applying, please read the Emergency Medicine ST4 Emergency Medicine person specification to assess your suitability for the post. All applicants will need to upload documentation demonstrating they have attained the necessary competence at time of application. It is very important you find out what is acceptable documentation.

The expected duration of this programme is 36 months; however the actual duration may depend on the circumstances of the individual.

When applying to this specialty in this recruitment round, you will not need to give preferences of particular posts, regions, rotations, etc. at the time of applying; just complete and submit an application for the specialty. Applications are equally open to those who may, either from the outset or subsequently, wish to train less than full time or job share.

All trainees should be paid monthly at the rates set out in the national terms and conditions of service for hospital medical and dental staff and doctors in public health medicine and the community health service (England and Wales), “the TCS”, as amended from time to time. The pay scales are reviewed annually. Part-time posts will be paid pro-rata.
