Information

The Royal College of Radiologists & NHS England (NHSE) London Recruitment are coordinating the national process for recruiting trainees into Clinical Radiology ST3 posts.

This advert is recruiting to posts at ST3/LAT3 level, and the expected duration of this programme is 3 years; however, the actual duration may depend on the circumstances of the individual. The posts advertised in this vacancy are only available to applicants who are able to start from August 2026.

Clinical Radiology involves the use of imaging to diagnose, treat, and monitor various disease processes. Rapid advances in technology and our understanding of disease features on diagnostic images have enabled imaging to be used at increasingly earlier stages of the diagnostic process. Likewise, changes in disease characteristics during treatment can be detected through imaging, which is frequently used to monitor progress.

Clinical Radiologists are medical specialists who provide a diagnostic imaging service to patients referred to them by family practitioners and hospital doctors. Not only do radiologists use imaging techniques to monitor disease processes and guide patient management, but they also perform minimally invasive interventional procedures such as drainages, embolisations and radiofrequency ablation of tumours.

Applications are equally open to those who may, either from the outset or subsequently, wish to train less than full time or job share.

Please note that there is a strict application policy that applications cannot be accepted after the submissions deadline.

Applicants who wish to apply must not already hold an NTN  in Clinical Radiology.
