Specialty Training Fill Rates - Northern Ireland

In 2025 95.3% of the Specialty Training Posts in Northern Ireland were filled (444 filled posts, 22 unfilled posts). This is an increase compared to 2024 when 92.5% of 400 Specialty Training Posts were filled (370 filled, 30 unfilled).

At CT1/ST1 level 97.6% of posts were filled (330 filled posts, 8 unfilled posts). This is an increase compared to 2024 when  99.57% of 314 posts were filled (298 filled posts, 16 unfilled post). 

At ST3 level 82.1% of 56 posts were filled (46 filled posts, 10 unfilled posts). This is a decrease compared to 2024 when 90.24% of 41 posts were filled (37 filled posts, 4 unfilled posts). 

At ST4 level 94.4% of 72 posts were filled (68 filled posts, 4 unfilled posts). This is an increase compared to 2024 when  77.78% of 45 posts were filled (35 filled posts, 10 unfilled posts).
