Specialty Training Fill Rates - Anaesthetics ST3 & ST4

In 2024 99.01% of the 406 posts available in Anaesthetics ST4 were filled. This is a slight decrease in the fill rate compared to 2023 when 99.25% of 399 posts were filled.

At a national level the fill rates for 2024 are as follows:

  • England – 99.7x% of 328 posts were filled (327 filled posts, 1 unfilled post). 
  • Wales – 100% of 17 posts were filled. 
  • Northern Ireland – 75% of 12 posts were filled (9 filled posts, 3 unfilled posts). 
  • Scotland – 100% of 49 posts were filled.
