Core Psychiatry Training CT1 Competition Ratios

The competition ratio for Core Psychiatry Training CT1 training posts in 2024 was 9.45:1. 4,650 applications were made for 492 posts. This is an increase in the competition level compared to 2023 when 2,610 applications were made for 524 posts (a competition ratio of 4.98:1).

Core Psychiatry Training was the least competitive of all CT1/ST1 specialties in 2014 (1.29:1), 2015 (1.42:1) and 2017 (1.26:1).
