National specialty person specifications for DCT 1, DCT 2, DCT 3 which can be found via the National Specialty Training Website: Person specifications for Dental Core Training (DCT) recruitment | Dental Hub (https://dental.hee.nhs.uk/dental-trainee-recruitment/dental-core-training-dct/person-specifications-for-dental-core-training-dct-recruitment)

Applications for these ACF awards will only be accepted via Oriel.

All candidates’ application status on Oriel will be progressed to longlisted whilst eligibility checks are taking place, to assist in more timely review of applications. This does not indicate that you have met all your eligibility checks. This stage will continue until mid-November. You can be withdrawn at any stage in the recruitment if you are found not to meet the essential criteria from the NIHR or specialty person specifications.

Please note that the grade/s advertised are the grade/s at post start date. This means that applicants must be eligible to train at the advertised grade/s at the start date of the post.

You must not have a RCP in the grade you are applying for at the start date.

Please note that the grade/s advertised are the grade/s at post start date. This means that applicants must be eligible to train at the advertised grade/s at the start date of the post.

Please be aware that trainees are not permitted to repeat training for the purposes of taking up an ACF post and trainees are not permitted to start at a grade that is not advertised.

As an example, if a post is advertised at DCT1 grade, then a current DCT 1 trainee who is on track to become an DCT1 trainee at the post start date would NOT under any circumstances be permitted to take up the ACF post at DCT 1 grade as this would entail repeating training that has already been completed. If you are in receipt of an RCP at the grade you are applying to you will not be eligible for that grade.
